Day 5: Friends
Some days friends are even more important than family because while family is tied to us by blood, friends choose us. They accept us without obligation. No one threatens them or bribes them (most of the time). Instead, they witness, experience, and learn to love us even with all our obsessions, quirks, and passions. For that reason, I have to be grateful for them. :p After all, there aren’t many people in this world that can handle my personality to its full extent on a daily basis, all parts insanity, boisterous energy, an embarrassing dance moves.
I’m also grateful for my friends because they both share my passions, or at the very least listen to them even when they don’t understand them(haha!), and introduce me to theirs. Friends are there to help us branch out. They show us a ‘whole new world'(sings like Aladdin :p). Seriously, though, my friends have such different hobbies from me and I love getting to know about each and every one of them because it shows me a part of who they are and allows me to understand and love my friends for their unique interests in the same way they do with me(or pretend to do with me :p).
Good post! I challenge you to participate in my #GiveThanksChallenge where I have provided a list of “bad” things that happen and I challenge everyone to find a personal example of each category and share why they are thankful for it. Something good that came from it, lessons learned, blessing in disguise. https://amazingthingscanhappen.wordpress.com/give-thanks-challenge/
