100 Followers!

0.0 *blink blink* That’s… uh… a big number in that orange circle up there… and… it’s for my blog… o.0 EH?! What’s with all you people? Following my blog like you… enjoy it or something? Psh! What a concept! :p

As y’all can see I’m still quite baffled by the concept of people following my blog, much less reading it. When I first started this I wasn’t sure what to expect. I’d never had a blog before. I’d never even really had an internet presence that put myself out there and told people about who I am and what I have to offer them. I wasn’t sure if anyone would care what I had to say, what I wrote, or even my style of writing as it has such a dark tone. Yet, all of you have proven me wrong time and time again! For that I am more grateful than words can express.

Writers know just how much it means to have people support them in their endeavors to write and express themselves through words. They know the joys and the troubles. Yet, for those people who aren’t writers, this is an amazing feeling. It’s amazing because each piece that a writer puts onto a page is a part of them, it shows who they are, and to have people accept that and want more is the most beautiful and moving thing in the world. That’s how I feel. I’m overwhelm with gratitude for all of you, my supporters, my fans, my friends. I thank you.

While many writers say they write for themselves, I remind myself that I write for others, too. I do write because I have these crazy worlds in my head. I do write because characters scream at me with such intensity that I have to throw them on the page. I write because I want to give life to the plots and stories in my head, but I also write for the readers. I write for the readers who long for an adventure, who long for endless possibilities, who just need a place to escape for a few hours. That’s why I want to not only write, but share my writing with others. Each of you make that possible.

So, thank you. You are all amazing!

To express my thanks, I want to continue to entertain you and give you someplace to disappear to. So, I’d like to know which of my posts are your favorite, which ones you look the most forward to, which ones you want more of.
