1) I played lacrosse in high school.
2) I’ve played the violin since I was nine years old.

4) I’ve traveled to four countries outside of North America: Germany, France, England, and the Netherlands.

Sara’s Questions

1) Most anticipated release of this year?
Uh… I’m not sure I have one. I’m so far behind on what’s going on in the bookish world that I have no idea what’s even coming out this year. Though, I have heard quite a bit about ‘A Madness So Discrete’, which sounds really good. I suppose, that would be my top choice.

2) Do you have any pets?
I do! I have a cat, Mittens(19 yrs), and a dog, Roxy(8 yrs), and I can’t imagine living without them. People who don’t have pets are truly missing out! Plus, who doesn’t want something fluffy and soft to hug and pet every day? ^.^

3) Which is better the book or the movie?
The book is always better. It’s better because it allows everyone to have their own image of the characters and the world, rather than confining them to the realistic versions that arrive in the movie versions. Not to mention, movies are so limited as far as internal thoughts, character interactions, and required to present the material in a way that explains things for people who didn’t read the book, while leaving out vital information from the book. It’s just not as good in so many ways. Books all the way!

4) Harry Potter or Twilight?
Wow. This is a question? Psh! Harry Potter! Duh! (I abhor Twilight… Sorry y’all)Ā Besides, I prefer my vampires to be ravenous, bloodthirsty monsters who burn in the sunlight. Those are real creatures. P.s. Werewolves don’t shift on will. They’re forced to shift on the full moon because they’re cursed. Get your lore right! Come on! Not to mention all the wonderful new creatures and rivalries that were created in the Harry Potter series. Who wouldn’t like it more? :p

5) Coke or Pepsi? Is there a difference?
PEPSI! Oh my goodness! You people and your coke! It doesn’t taste as good and for all you people who don’t taste the difference, say what?! Pepsi definitely tastes different! Love it!

6) Favorite color?
Man. This question. Must IĀ have a favorite? Can’t I just… taste the rainbow? No? Okay. :p My favorite color is probably green. I just always gravitate back to it no matter how often I jump around. (Black is a close second because black goes with everything. ^.^)

7) Favorite book of the year?
My favorite book of the year is ‘Gambit’ by C. L. Denault. Her book is exquisitely written with realistic character personalities, interactions, and development. Additionally, the world is beautifully built. This was an absolutely amazing book to read! I recommend it to everyone who enjoys YA, dystopian, science fiction, a little romance, and well, everyone else! ^.^ To see why I enjoyed it so much, check out my review.

8) Most hated book of the year?
Red Queen! Red Queen! Red Queen! Ugh! It inappropriately utilizes every clichĆ© from the YA genre in a way that makes them overly clichĆ©. Additionally, I didn’t like any of the characters, nor find them believable. Sorry to those who enjoyed this book. However, I did not. End of story. If you want more reasons (or a list of clichĆ©s) as to why I didn’t like this book, check out my review.

9) Plot that you would love to see show up in a book.
Book is from the villains point of viewĀ and they get a happy ending, which isn’t a happy ending for other people, obviously. What can I say? I have a dark side… or maybe I am the dark side. (Come to the dark side, we have cookies. ^.^)

10) Fan cast of your favorite book.
Uh… This is probably the hardest question I’ve ever had to answer because I don’t generally imagine characters. I know, silly, but true. I don’t have mental images of what the characters look like and if I don’t they’re only half-formed: skin color, hair color, eye color. Nothing else really ever appears. In that sense, I can’t say that I really have a good idea of a fan cast for my favorite book, much less know what my favorite book is. :/

I suppose, I’ll cheat for this one and say that I really love the cast that was chosen for ‘The 100’ series. Granted, I saw the show before I read the book, but I think they did a nice job with the casting (except for Octavia, who is much younger in the book than in the show. That threw me off.)

11) Do you like chocolate?
Yes! I like chocolate! My favorite is white chocolate with milk coming in at a close second. I’ll eat dark, but only if it’s not too bitter and only if it’s the only option. However, I don’t like chocolate milk, chocolate ice cream, chocolate cake, chocolate frosting, etc. Those just don’t taste like chocolate. They’re too artificial!

  1. Great answers, Melanie šŸ™‚ I’m scared of moths so understand the butterfly thing (as an aside I’m not scared of butterflies…I know, I know)
Loved your answer to the plot question! Villains get such a bad press šŸ˜‰ and there is never enough of the dark side. I’m with you. Heh.

Looking forward to answering your questions to me very soon šŸ™‚

    1. Haha! Yay! I’m not alone! :p (don’t worry. I get you. Moths don’t really bother me the way butterflies do… We’re both weird. Hee hee)

Right?! Villains totally have such bad reps and people write them some 1D. I mean, villains are people, too. They aren’t born evil. They’re made that way. I want to know why! I want to know what they want! Why are they willing to go to any lengths to get what they want!? NEED THIS!

Can’t wait for your answers! ^.^

  2. Thank you for the nomination! šŸ™‚ and I love chocolate too. I think your pets are so cute and I’ve heard mixed reviews for Red Queen too so idk if I’ll pick that up.

    1. You’re very welcome!
And that seems to be the cast with a lot of people when it comes to Red Queen. I hadn’t actually heard of the bad reviews until I was reading it and then I was like ‘oh. okay. I’m not the only one who hates it. >.>’ Heh. Each to their own, though. If you think it sounds interesting not taking reviews into account, you may enjoy it yourself. Who knows. ^.^
Can’t wait to see your answers!

  3. Yay! Thanks for doing this! Yes, twilight or harry potter is a valid question. If you want villains as main characters and their happy endings, I believe The Isle of the Lost and The Young Elites are kind of like that. I’ve heard so many different opinions on Red Queen I don’t know if I’ll ever read it

    1. Haha! I can’t take Twilight seriously. Never read it, but saw the movies and I can’t get myself to read it. (Granted I don’t read romance so…)
Oo! Books to add to my TBR! Yay!
Yeah, I heard really good things about it before I read it, but I don’t listen to them. I enjoy forming my own opinion on books, but I can understand being unsure about it given the extremists on both sides of the fence. :/

      1. I read them then saw the movies and then became addicted to fanfiction of it so im just a regular conformist haha. I haven’t read either of the ones I told you about but their synopsis give the vibe you were talking about. I like to form my own opinions too, but when there’s no desire to actually read it, I end up never doing so

        1. That’s okay. ^.^ Book ideas are still book ideas.

Yeah, I probably wouldn’t read a book if I wasn’t too interested either. I thought the synopsis sounded pretty good before I read it and part of it sounded similar to a book I’m writing (which obviously meant I had to read it so that I wasn’t copying anyone. No worries there, though.)

Personally, I didn’t really think it was worth the read, but I’ll leave that up to you.

  4. Yours might just be my all-time favorite blog award response. Oh, where to begin? Agreed, the Infinity Dreams award DESERVES an award for its gorgeous name. All your answers shined with personality and were totally entertaining.

    Rock on, 19-year-old(!!) Mittens!

Hey, we all have our phobias so I get it, but I chuckled a little bit over you all badass riding a motorcycle while fearing butterflies. Way to conquer your phobia. I LOVE Mackinaw Island but haven’t been there in years. Is it still awesome?

    Liked by 1 person

    1. Bahaha! Thank you! I’m glad that I can entertain. ^.^ I always try to put a piece of my personality into posts that aren’t stories because I want my readers to feel like they know me, as opposed to me just being some random person(robot :p) who blogs.

Haha! I know. I’m weird like that: scared of butterflies, but rides motorcycles and wants to go skydiving. :p That’s me in a nutshell. Hee hee!
You’ve been to Mackinac?! EE!!! Well, the island still rocks, obvi! Though, the shops are becoming far too generic compared to the unique, little, eclectic stores they used to have. (Too touristy for me.) Though, we go up on Labor Day to walk the bridge really. ^.^ Michiganian through and through! Are you?
