the-beautiful-blogger-award

Oo! How pretty! An award! *blushes* This adorable award was given to me by Nicolette at A Little Bookish, A Little Writerly.

Rules
❄Link to the blogger who took the time to nominate you.
❄List seven random things about yourself.
❄Nominate seven creative, beautiful bloggers.
❄Notify the amazing people who you nominated for the award.

Facts

1) As a child, I had no reflexes. I would literally fall with my arms tucked at my sides, and smack face first into the concrete. (Don’t worry. I have reflexes now. :p)

2) My zodiac is Sagittarius, aka I’m an archer & a centaur. :p (It also gives me full right to be crazy. Hee hee.)

3) I’m the worst cook ever. I screwed up pasta once… >.>

4) People tell me I’m ‘too loud‘… Then, they ask me ‘what’s wrong?’ when I’m quiet. -.- Really? Pick one!

5) In high school, I dyed my hair turquoise… and I miss it a lot! (Disclaimer: Not me in the pic. I can’t find any old pictures…)

Not my hair, but close to what it used to look like. I can’t find any old pics… :/

6) I volunteered for a Maid Cafe at an anime convention, which basically counts as cosplaying! ^.^ Loved it! Can’t wait to cosplay some more!

  1. HAHA! I loved this SO much! 😀 I’ve messed up pasta too before, and I consider myself a fairly decent cook. It was that frozen stuff in the bag and I left it on the stove for too long. I may or may not have been reading and not been paying 100% attention, I can neither confirm nor deny this… lol ^.^

And OMG, that is so true about being loud!!! I feel that way all the time!

      1. I put eggs to boil after the water was alerts day boiling once in college. I had no clue I was supposed to put them in before. I thought it was like pasta where you wait! So we had the opposite problem!! Hahaha

  2. I’M A SAGITTARIUS TOO. ARCHER PRIDE *virtual high five* We ARE kind of insane, aren’t we? :/ Oh well.
Turquoise hair. I’ve always wanted to dye my hair something awesome but I’m a coward. I could only manage a generic chestnut brown ombre thing. -.-
And I feel you on the ‘can’t cook’ thing. I burn toast. It’s just something I do. I’m so far gone in cooking that even the toaster doesn’t try to work properly when I’m around.

    1. YAY! Archers! ^.^ We’re the bomb! *virtual high gives back* Haha! It’s a good insane, though. :p
Haha! It took me many years to dye my hair and even when I did I only dyed the tips because I was scared to dye all of it. :p And at least you can do that ombre thing. Doesn’t really work with blondes… >.>
:p Toasters are tricky beasts! I totally always burn my pancakes on the stove… 😦 I hate charred food. *sigh*

  3. Oh my gosh, turquoise hair! I would love that – I think one of my dreams would be to have pastel pink hair.

I wish I had the guts to cosplay! I was going to cosplay as a Fem!Psycho from Borderlands, but I fell sick towards the convention and lost muscle tone. XD What have you cosplayed as? 😀

    1. Hee hee! You should do it! ^.^ (I’m unfortunately no longer allowed to have colored hair at work. So, I’m happy I did it when I was younger.) And I did the tips so that I could cut it off when I didn’t want it anymore. ^.^ (I’m super protective of my hair. >.>)

DO IT! Cosplay is lots of fun! You get to be whomever you want and no one will judge you for it! It’s an awesome experience! I’ve only ever truly cosplayed at the maid cafe. I did design a renaissance-inspired Harley Quinn costume that I hope to cosplay in some day. :p (When I have the time to attend a con again. *sigh*)

      1. Unfortunately I don’t think my work will let me do it too! 😥 But it’s okay, maybe one day, when I’m old and can pass it off as a mid-life crisis. XD

I bet it is! ^_^ I’m inherently a shy person, and putting on a persona would be so hard for me! Hence why the Psycho idea seemed ideal – I’d have a mask and if I screwed up or something no one would know my face. XD

That sounds AWESOME! I say go for it (though I completely understand the time thing). There’s only one major con here, and that’s in October. :c So I only have one opportunity! Dx

        1. Aw. Darn jobs keeping us from being who we are! I want my turquoise hair back. *sigh* (Maybe in grad school :p)

Aw. I used to be a shy person, too. (Major stage fright :p), but you can work up to it. If you want to start with a mask, then you can do that. Or find friends to go and do a group costume. That would be a good way to do it. ^.^

Haha! I wore the Harley Quinn costume to my brother’s Halloween wedding. If I get a pic, I’ll post it up on here. ^.^
And I live nearish to Chicago, so I went to Comic Con there, but yeah… it’s kind of a once a year thing unless you know of the other, smaller cons.

But now you’ll have all year to prepare for next October! Do it! You won’t regret it! ^.^

      1. I can do decent things with a recipe. I just finish doing some cookies but the recipe was totally in spanish. My luck is that spanish is similar to portuguese and I was able to do the cookies 😛
