New Years Resolutions

Nya’s 2016 New Years Resolutions

My New Year Resolutions for 2016

1. Read more books that are already on my TBR

This seem to be my main problem these days. I already have so many books I want to read, but I keep adding new books to my never-ending TBR. Well, in 2016, I definitely want to read books I have put on my TBR in 2015. This might mean accepting less review requests, and less review tours. Whatever it takes, this is something that I want to achieve.

2. Finish writing my Fantasy novel

In November 2015, I participated in NaNoWriMo and wrote a 50k first draft – which it’s pretty awesome, if you ask me! The only problem is that the draft isn’t nearly finished. I am guessing it will be finished at around 90-100k but this is just a rough estimate. In 2016, I want to finish that first draft, edit it, polish it, and get people to beta-read!

3. Socialize more

It has been four years since I have moved to the UK. It still doesn’t feel the same as home, and I think sometimes I use that as an excuse to isolate myself. 2015 was the year I have moved in with my boyfriend, but apart from that, it was a pretty lonely year. In 2016, I want to go out more, make new friends, and reconnect with the old ones.

  1. I feel you on that TBR thing. Tthere’s so many books that I’ve wanted to pick up but I just get distracted. Also good luck on your fantasy book! I’m sure it’ll be awesome 🙂
