Flash Fiction Friday

Flash Fiction Friday: Pixie Dust

The gentle tickle tugged me from sleep. My hand brushed the tip of my nose, rubbing away the sensation. Yet, it persisted. My sneeze echoed through the forest, jolting me awake to find glitter falling from the sky.

Befuddled, I sat up. The glitter drifted back and forth, melting like snow on my arms and face. Wherever it touched, my skin tingled. It drew another sneeze from me. The noise broke the quiet of the forest, but it was not alone in this for a tiny, high-pitched giggle bubbled up from the nearby trees.
