Portals. Portals. Everywhere.
Travel used to be so simple, so straightforward. One walked somewhere, biked somewhere, drove somewhere, perhaps flew somewhere. None of that is necessary anymore. Such menial, old-fashioned means of transportation. No, portals are the way of the future. You know… after they sorted out all the bugs.
Still, I wonder what it was like.
What was it like to walk down a street with stores and restaurants and other little places lining both sides? What was it like to have to sit in a car or a train or plane for hours just to get to a certain store? What was it like to have different, unique, isolated cultures?
I guess I’ll never know.
