What is your favorite book, or if you prefer, your favorite author?
Bleh. I hate you. I has no favorite. Favorite insinuates that everything can be compared along the same spectrum and that just isn’t true. What I like about one book doesn’t even exist in another. Thus it’s impossible! IM-POSS-IB-LE! You hear me? Good. Okay. Moving on. :p
Is there a country you have always wanted to visit, if so where?
I’ve always wanted to visit Ireland. I’ve heard it’s gorgeous there and I love the Celtic culture. So, I’d love the opportunity to go there and experience it for myself.
What do you enjoy about blogging?
Interaction. I absolutely love reading comments and commenting back and having conversations with readers. It’s really my favorite part about blogging and I wish I could do more of it! 😀
What’s your preferred writing space?
Darkness. God. I know that sounds so strange, but I actually work best in small, dark, cool spaces. The less light, the better my mind concentrates (which is why I wish I were a better night owl). However, that’s not to say I don’t write during the day, but I focus a LOT better at night.
How do you find inspiration?
HA! Me find inspiration? I think you got it wrong! Inspiration finds me. 😂 I’ll just be chillin’, watchin’ some TV or something and then BAM! Idea. It hits me and I have to scribble it down ASAP because it infects me like a restless energy (and my best writing friend can attest to this. :p )
What do you like to do for fun when you need a break from writing?
Music. I absolutely, positively cannot write with any sound: music, tv, people chatting, random plinks and clunks. It drives me UP THE WALL! So, after intense, long periods of time without any sound, I go to music and let it fill my soul (and my ears, of course. Haha!)
What started you down the road of writing?
Uh… o.o I’ve always been writing? I’ve always had stories (and I still have some from when I was five!) Though, I think what got me actively writing (and finishing) stories was being unable to escape them. Haha! 😂 I’d write a few chapters, lose motivation, walk away, but it would trail after me like a shadow. I couldn’t shake it. So, in 2012 I gave in and have been actively writing ever since. 🙂
What’s one story you keep recommending to others?
Oo. I have been recommending Arena by Holly Jennings like crazy. Partly because her sequel, Gauntlet, is coming out next week, but also because I just LOVE it! Full immersion gaming! Fighting! Party lifestyle! What isn’t there to love about this series?!
How do you keep yourself motivated?
Um… No idea. I’m completely serious. I have no idea how I stay motivated. Friends? Self-motivation that eludes me most of the time? Random external factors? I really don’t know, but if you find out, please let me know. Kay? :p
What superpower would you choose and why?
You know, I’ve thought about this many times before and my answer always changes. I went through a dark phase where I- Wait. I’m still in my dark phase! 😂 Hahaha! I like the idea of teleportation (because I hate travel), but shape-shifting has always had a special place in my heart. I’d love to be able to shift into a variety of different animals. 🙂
What four people would you invite to a dinner party; contemporary, historical, or fictional?
Oh man! A dinner party, eh? Well, let’s see. I say we invite The Mad Hatter because he’s a BOSS! Then we gotta put Deadpool on the list because I’m pretty sure they’re kinds of crazy would mesh really well. And if we’re going with crazy, we most definitely have to invite Captain Jack Sparrow. Savvy? :p And to round out my cast of villainy and crazy and anti-heroes, I throwing my favorite Disney villain on the guest list: Hades! He’s a baddy with style and every party needs some STYLE!
