Hi there, everyone! I have some exciting news for you today. Well, I think it’s exciting. π A few weeks ago, a friend of mine told me about this awesome website an author set-up that brings bloggers and writers together! It’s called…
The Book Robin Hoods
What is The Book Robin Hoods?
I’m glad you asked! π The Book Robin Hoods is a website, forum, and community designed to bridge the gap between the aloof, mysterious writers and the excitable, highly-sought-after reviewer. It allows writers (published and unpublished) to share their writing with readers to obtain feedback and reviews, while offering reviewers the opportunity to read new books (for free, I might add) and help promote authors! And it works! (My testimonial is below.)
How does it work?
Super simple! After you make an account on the website (and fill out the reviewer/author Google Forms [details below]), you can look at the generous lists of writers and reviewers (depending on what you’re looking for) and reach out to people directly. Read about their book or peruse their blog and then just send ’em an email! It’s that easy. π
Sounds too good to be true.
What’s the catch?
MC Frank (the author who set this all up) simply wants to create a welcoming, supportive, safe environment for readers and writers to communicate with each other. That being said, all reviewers MUST be established before applying and obviously writers need to have some piece(s) to offer readers (but it doesn’t have to be published yet. π )
Alright. How do I join?
Yay! Simply fill out THIS Google Form if you’re a reader.
Or fill out THAT Google Form if you’re a writer.
And make an account on the website HERE.
My Testimonial
In case some of you have reservations about joining, please rest assured. I joined the site a few months ago and have been quite satisfied with my experience. Even before I was added to The Storytellers (authors) page I was able to easily reach out to The Book Smugglers (readers) and request feedback on SUBMERGED. Many readers agreed and have already read and commented on SUBMERGED on Swoon Reads and it was fantastic feedback too, which has been great! I couldn’t have asked for more.Β
Oh, nice.
Well, i filled in the form… π
How does the “promote on twitter” part actually work? I mean what do you post?

Yay! Glad to see you’re gonna join us, Norrie. π
And it can be as simple as #thebookrobinhoods in your tweet when you review a book from one of the authors. Or just a little random tweet like: “Hey! I joined and I’ve had the opportunity to read some amazing books from #thebookrobinhoods. You should check it out too!” or something. π Marketing isn’t really my strong suit. hahahaha!
